This week I was pleased to meet with more leaders in our City. We've been blessed to have so many folks rise to meet challenges in unofficial ways to support her in various arenas: her history, her beautification, commerce, and spirituality.

On Sunday, I was pleased to attend Soldiers' Memorial AME Zion Church. I had looked forward to visiting this beautiful and historic church, and was honored to share a few words. The music was amazing, and the message was about the Good Samaritan. Quite meaningful.

Much of the week was spent with more printers, and good friends who came to help me stuff envelopes! Many of you should get a letter from me this week. I hope you'll respond with an offer to put a sign in your yard, donate, and vote for Maggie!

On Saturday, I took a walking tour of a challenged neighborhood. The neighbors are so impassionate in their efforts to save it! My eyes were opened and I learned so, so much.

I had only a couple of hours left in the day to continue my door-to-door campaign. Sometimes I don't "make time" as I plan, as folks are so eager to tell me their thoughts! Isn't that a great problem to have? When I finally headed home, I had met most of my goal for the day and will continue on Monday.

"For too long poor people have had no recourse when problems occur in their rental properties.  You have been instrumental in getting this situation reviewed and then putting in place ways to deal with these problems.  Thank you so much!" Jean Wurster (Educator)
